Solar-powered security cameras are designed to work by absorbing energy from direct and ambient sunlight. If the solar home security camera was placed in a completely dark room, then it would continue working in night-vision mode for as long as the internal battery held a charge. After this point, the solar ipcamera would no longer function until it was recharged.
